Your car will have new roadrash if it is on a open carrier. I had a car moved from east Texas to L.A. area; the broker was Princeton Transport, they picked a hauler with a truck already in the general area. The hauler was Go 2 Transport. The trailer was soft side enclosed which protected from roadrash but the floor was open and a lot of crape got sucked into the covered area. This just meant lots of dirt on the car when I got it. If you want to make sure the car does not go thru a rolling dust storm, require a complete enclosed unit. Of course the more requirements the more expensive the hauler.
